Meet our BG!
It has been a while since I last posted, but I promise to do better now that we are somewhat settled again in our semi-permenant home in Mississippi.
The last post announced the WONDERFUL news of the expectancy of our very own baby that God has blessed us with!!!! We officially decided not to find out the gender of this precious little child because we LOVE surprises and the THRILL of the unexpected events hat have followed us throughout our marriage. So, for now, the little growing person is called BG, short for boy/girl.

I was working in California when I found out I was pregnant. It was the most amazing day of my life finding out I was going to be a mommy! Keeping it a secret from Caleb for 3 days was killing me, but I wanted to tell him in person.
When I got to Mississippi, I took him to his family's land at Craig Springs where we had our first date and invited him to his first born's birthday on October 17! He was literally speechless for a long time; his eyes filled with tears of excitement, amazement, and gratitude towards God that the day had finally arrived, when I could tell him he was going to be a daddy. We sat snuggled together on the swing for a while, just staring at my belly taking in that moment of realizing we are going to be parents. One of my favorite moments in life!!
Caleb drove us just a few yards down the road to the family's grave yard.He set the white flower up in front of his grandfather's grave and said: "Well Pop, you already know this, but I am going to be a daddy." Pop was the first person we told, everyone else only found out about 12 weeks later.
Since then, we sold our RV and moved back to MS to set up house for some stability in our lives. It was bitter-sweet ending my travel nursing career; sad ending this adventurous chapter in our lives, but excited to start our family! That same day Caleb sang "I just haven't met you yet" by Michael Bublé at our church's Valentine's Banquet. How appropriate singing to our "kid", having prepared this song without knowing he would be a daddy-to-be the night he performed it.
We recently celebrated our 8 year anniversary. Looking back at the years together, we feel so incredibly blessed to have been together throughout this journey called LIFE. And what better gift from God for our anniversary than this miracle baby ?! We are absolutely and utterly THRILLED!!

A Song From Our Hearts
Caleb sat up late one night playing his guitar while his mind and heart were racing.
The next day he played this song for me. Hope you enjoy this melody that
expresses the feelings we have had over the last few months.
"FOR YOU"

Two Weddings and Two Babies!
2012 has already proven to be a very exciting and blessed year, and it keeps getting better!
First, my sister-in-law MaryEsther got married to the love of her life, Kyle Elam. They had a beautiful, small, and intimate wedding in the Gatlinburg mountains in Tennessee on March 16th.

Next, as announced before, my beautiful niece, Nylah Marley Hilton, was born on March 27th in Hawaii. She is now one whole month old, and I miss her immensely. Happy 1 month birthday little wiggle worm!!!
Finally, in exactly 2 weeks, my brother-in-law Mark Murphy, will marry his charming bride Laura Holt in Clarksdale, MS. They are a beautiful couple, and I'm excited to see where life leads them together as they start their marriage journey. At a couple's shower in Clarksdale, we recently celebrated this special time in their lives.
Due to lack of time to buy appropriate wedding gift wrap, Caleb stopped at Sonic and asked for a "gift bag" along with an instant homemade card made out of our mail stash in the car. I gotta give
it to him, he saved the day. Sorry Mark and Laura, we will do better next time ;)
I thank God for all His blessings and am thrilled to see what other surprises 2012 will bring!!!!

Aloha - first blog post!
My goal this year was to finally get our own blog going. It's only April right, one third into the year. Not so bad considering most of my goal setting success rates. My main inspiration and help to get it going, was my sister Monique Hilton. She is an amazing graphic designer, artist, and NOW new mommy!!!! Check out the her blog lightcameralove
Caleb and I have had the privilege of traveling to many parts of the world. Our most recent travels took us across the Pacific Ocean all the way to the beautiful islands of Hawaii---> PARADISE!
Hawaii was more than just a vacation destination this time. I'm very proud to debut our blog with the new arrival of the light of my life, my precious little niece, Nylah Marley Hilton. My parents and I were able to spend Easter in Hawaii with my sister, her husband Clark, and Nylah. My two weeks here wee filled with diaper changes, burping, cuddling, beach time, stroller rides, quiet moments at the bay, pineapple ice cream, rainbows, hikes, sister time, parent time, and tons of moments soaking in the love. I'm heading back to the mainland today, but will miss my little bundle of pure joy immensely as well as this daily, uninterrupted sister time.
Uncle Caleb was able to join us for a weekend and seems to be a natural with Nylah after all his experience with his four little nieces.
Mahalo nui loa to Clark and Monique for a lovely visit.
